Distribution lists in Outlook 2003

All contacts in the distribution lists are sequenced by
the given names. I would like to resequence these by the
contact's last name, but can't figure how.

DL's usually follow the sort order you specified for your Outlook Address
Book, unless they were created in an ealrier version. How is your Outlook
Address Book sorted?

In some versions, the DL uses the old method of sorting by the Subject
field. See what happens if you change the Subject field (you'll have to use
Field Chooser to add it to a Table view of Contacts to find it).
