making distribution lists with networking

I am on Windows 7 Outlook 2007. I want to make distribution lists ( I have
over 3000 contacts in different folders under contacts) but I don't have any
names in the Contacts folder itself. How do I move them all to contacts
folder as well so I have one contact folder with all the names and then will
I be able to make distribution lists from there.

Open all of your contact folders and select all in one folder, drag and drop
to the default contacts folder. Repeat for each contact folder. Then
assign categories, much more robust than a DL and better suited for group
mailings.
