Distribution List Missing Contacts

I'm having problems with Outlook 2003. I have created a distribution list
with 50 names (which is well below the recipient limit set on the server).
However, when I try to send an email to that distribution list some contacts
are ommitted. I have to expand the list and check one by one to see who was
left out and add them back. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to
this because the missing contacts are different every time, always 2-3
randomly missing. Any idea on what might be going on here?

DL's are not robust and frequently become corrupt. I would never rely on a
DL for more than a handful of members and I plan to need to recreate the DL
often.
