distribution list field in outlook contact address card view

arrange by>I want to know how to be able to add the field "distribution list"
to my contacts address card so that whenever I view the contact I can see
what distribution list that they are assigned to...I am hoping that this will
allow me to also view them in category view where by I added the field
"distribution list" and see if Outlook will sort all the contacts by this
after I have assigned them to the distribution list in the distribution list
dialog box by "selecting members"
I had tried assigning these contacts by categories but they really
appropriately need to be on distribution lists.....
HELP! if you can give me any other hints....Here is what I have tried so far:
I went to "view" arrange by>then current view while in contacts folder,
customize view...fields>select from "All distribution lists" click
distribution list>ADD> then I move it up to fall after file as..but when I
open a contact afterwards I don't see it listed there on the contact address
card.....

No can do. Membership in a DL is not a property of the Contact.
Most people use Categories instead of DL's.
