Distorted Images

I have been having this problem for a few weeks now, and
can't find a solution. My problem is that images in
windows have been distorted, mainly ie but it happens in
other windows programs such as display properties. I have
found out something strange though, when I right click on
a image and click properties (ie) all the images become
undistorted.
