Displaying file name extensions

My files in "My Documents" do not show the three character
file name extension. Is there a way to make this happen?

Hi Mountain Man,

You can turn this on by doing the following.

From My Documents - Click Tools - Folder Options. View Tab.
Scroll down and uncheck the box for "Hide extensions for known file types"
and click Ok.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Sure. Click on My Computer. Select Tools from the Menu and click on Folder Options. Next click on the View tab and find the checkboxes for Hide extensions for Known file types. Click that off. If you want the setting to apply to all folders, then click the Apply to All Folders button. Then click OK>

Thank you so much! It Worked!! It may have been
something I was doing wrong, but I was unable to find your
answer in the Windows Help program. If it's not there,
shouldn't it be? Thanks again,
Mountain Man
