display vertical instead of horizontal

I have a PC in my office that when turned on this morning
the screen is on it's side, the pc seems to be working
just fine except for this. Any ideas how to fix?
 
Turn your monitor 90 degrees !

Actually, you probably have a NVidia video card and drivers (hey but who knows, you FAILED
to mention what video card and drivers are being used) and you told the software to rotate
the screen 90 deg. You must change the setting back !
