Problem: Each time I boot up, screen resolution has returned to largest icons. There is a white cross on a red circle in lower right tray. A message says, "Do you want to automatically correct screen resolution and color depth settings? Y or N I click yes.

I'm directed to control panel, settings where I increase screen resolution from 800 x 600 to 1040 x 768. Click on Apply, etc. and screen will then show that much better setting. Everything is okay until I reboot next morning, then I must repeat the whole process. I get by, but it's a lot of trouble.

Anyone have a solution? Will certainly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the Video device, Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the
device drivers again automatically.
