Resolution notice PROBLEM

Hi:
Hope someone can help me.
I'm running Windows XP Home Edition SP2.
This is what's happening, there's an annoying small screen appearing that
says:
"Resolution notice
For best picture quality change resolution to 1024 X 768. 1:Exit 2: Disable."
Well I DO have that resolution set on my computer. Pressing the 1 and/or 2
doesn't help either, screen keeeps reappering. I've change the resolution to
a lower one and then set it back to 1024 X 768 and the screen keeps popping
up.
Any help?? I did read some of the post under resolution but none of them
applied to my case.
Thanks in advance.
:)

Your Monitor itself should have some buttons on it, to set it up. They are
usually at the front/lower case or sometimes just underneath the front. They
maybe behind a flap. By case I mean monitor, front = screen.
You could also check the web site for your monitor manu.
This msg can be generated by the monitor, not your PC

As noted, this message is coming entirely from the monitor, not from
Windows, and the buttons it refers to are on the monitor, not on the
keyboard.

Check the manual for your monitor - if you don't have it you should be able
to download it from hte manufacturer's website - for details on turning this
message off.
