Hi, on of my friends computer is having a problem with the display.

The first problem that we encountered was that the monitor kept on
flickering, the flickering was very slight, but it was noticible. I managed
to resolve this problem by changing the montitor refresh rate. I changed it
85 Hertz, and this worked.

The second problem that I encountered was that the monitor (bottom left hand
side) colours seem to be distorted. It only happens on that side.

My friend has tried another monitor, but with the same result.

Could it be his graphics card? he said he tried to clean it etc? can i try
my graphic card in his computer? will he need any drivers etc.

Regards

Hi, is there a power supply of some kind near to that side of the monitor,
or speakers maybe?

Hi, there are speakers to the right and left. and there is a subwoofer under
the left side of the monitor (where the colour is fading).

regards

Hi, then move the subwoofer well away from the monitor. Speakers produce
magnetism that will affect your display, it might have caused a permanent
problem - lets hope not....
