Display Photos in MSN Messenger

I have lost an important family photo but there is a copy of it that I use in
MSN Messenger Display Photos option.

I am aware that this is only a tiny image but I want to try and copy and
enhance it.

Can anyone advise me as to where the Display photos are stored on my
computer so I can locate an attempt to copy it.

They are here as .dat files:
C:\Documents and Settings\you\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN
Messenger\IDnumber\UserTile

They are usually .png type files.
Copy them to a folder and rename to .png.
If they are not .png, just drag into notepad and the type will be listed.
Just rename to that type that is listed.
