bought computer, when I first set it up, i chose XP "silver" with the appearance
tab. I tired of silver, switched to XP (default) Blue. Periodically, and it is happening more often, two to three times daily, the apperance switches back to Silver on its own.............Anyone have a "Fix" for this problem.

I've got a similar problem, i.e. when switching to the Classic Appearance the
system changes to XP Style Blue completely on its own after a few sessions.
And that happens despite clicking the Apply button. Any suggestions? Thank
you.

Shut of the Theme Service. This is located in the Control Panel >
Administrative Tools > Services. Locate Themes and *stop* the service and
set the startup type to *disabled*. Click Apply.

Note: This will affect all users on your system. But there are ways around
this too by using startup scripts for each user of your system.

Its been such a long time since I corrected the problem byte. It might be
wise to
"re-post" your problem with a new "thread". I remember that a Mvsp answer my
question to this problem. My computer still tries to "switch" now and then,
put the
tweaks I did (and I can no longer remember them) worked. The screen never
changes from the selection i made............re-post your problem and an
expert
will answer you....................Steve
