When I first started my Dell 8300, I selected Windows Xp and "Silver" in
the display window: Appearance. Tired of siver, changed to XP default Blue.
I have had this problems from the "get go": Periodically, and it is happening
more often, it switches back to XP Silver........, I switch back to XP default
Blue......and within a few hours, it switches back to silver. I talked with a
CSR via phone with Dell........but you know how there support goes, we all do!
Do any of you have a "FIX" for this problem.........Thanks, Steve

Just a possibility: examine your Accessibility (Dispaly tab, Settings
button) options in Control Panel and try disabling anything that's activated
in High Contrast color schemes (maybe something Custom is set?) If that's
the cause then you probably also saw the settings change back by themselves
upon each boot, too.

One Accessability option that I like is in IE (Tools | Internet Options |
Accessability) instead of Control Panel, where I set the Ignore font sizes
specified on web pages and I also put the font Size button on the IE
toolbar. Works great at higher screen size resolutions! :)

I was set on high contrast, changed setting, also did what you recommended in IE..checked box you suggested. If this corrects the problem........I will let you know. thank you much, Steve
