Display is enlongated

My monitor looks as if someone has taken the orignial font and enlongated it.
Can I get the original back.

Control Panel>Display>Settings
Change to the right setting for your monitor. A common setting for CRT's
less than17" is 1024x768, CRT's greater than 17" 1280 x 1024. If you have
an LCD/laptop set it for its native resolution. Refer to your
monitor/laptop manual for what that is. Apply/OK out after making the
change.
