The display driver for my NVIDIA 5200 card is gone from Windows XP. I have
continuously loaded the updated drivers from NVIDIA but the adapter under
advance display settings never shows anything but default. I have a terrible
time with video refresh rate because is not "driving" from the video card. I
fear that I have an infected register. Any ideas?

Hi

Delete the video card from Device Manager, reboot your system and let
Windows re-detect the card. Then install the latest WHQL version of the
Nvidia drivers.

Go to the card manufactures website. This is the best place to get the
proper driver for your display card because it is designed especially for
your card with extra files for whatever add on features that the card model
has built in to it. JJ
