how do change the display in windows xp from japanese to
english. my boyfriend wants to use my computer but he
cant because everything is in japanese --- help

Hi Maya,

You cna install English support, but that will not change the language used
for the basic Oeperating System controls. What it will allow is for him to
read web pages/email and wrtie in English. The only way to change the base
language for the operating system is to clean install WindowsXP in that
language (likely means the purchase of another copy of WindowsXP in that
language).

To install language support, go to the control panel/regional and language
options/languages tab, click details. Install English language support here.
