Dispaly Adpater

I had to reinstall recently and have a Samsung SyncMaster Monitor which is
now having problems. When I go to Control Panel, Display, Settings,
Advanced, I can see that I am in Default Monitor mode. I am unable to choose
Properties or make any changes. Under Adapter is says VGA Display
Controller....
I want to reinstall my Samsung Monitor but cannot do so because on it's
install
disk it prompts me to choose an adapter but there is nothing there to choose
from...
anyone able to help or direct me?

Hi zbrwgo,

It sounds like you need to install the drivers for your video adapter. If
you have a video card (expansion card) installed, download the drivers from
the video card manufacturer's website. If you have onboard video, download
the video drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website. If you have
an OEM computer (DELL, Compaq, HP, Gateway, etc.), see if there are drivers
available for download from the computer manufacturer's website.
