diskpart in Recovery Console doesn't allow activation of partition

Dear all,

My XP PC is not booting ("no bootable device" or something similar). I would
like to found out which partition is considered as active since I suspect
there is no active partition at the moment due to an error I made on the Disk
Management Console before rebooting. However, using the Recovery Console from
the XP disk, the utility diskpart does not seem to allow anything more than
the creation and deletion of new partitions. It seems to have a very
different functionality to the utility accessible from Windows. Is there any
other way therefore to check which partition is active?

Thanks,

Gaby

Thanks for the answer but the diskpart utility in the Recovery Console does
not have the same functionality and only seems to allow creation and deletion
of partitions. There seems to be no command line functionality other than
that.

Thanks,

Gaby
