Disk to Disk copy

Have XP 512mb P4 & 2 hard drives. It takes over 4 times
as long to copy from hard drive to hard drive as it does
between partitions on the same drive. Any ideas as to why?

What speed drives do you have, 5400 or 7200 and are they on the same ide
cable. If they are on the same IDE cable then it will be quite slow. If
you get another ide cable this might fix the problem.
