Disk read error oocured

I get this message and press ctrl alt delete to restart. I do this but I
keep getting the same message. This is a compact presarrio with windows XP.

Any help wouls be much appreciated. The computer can't be used. I am using
my laptop to send this.

Sounds like the harddrive died...

to confirm...the manufacturer of the harddrive should have a free diagnostic
utility on their website
