Disk Quotas

N

Nieman

Scenario:
2 Identical Servers
Identical Security Policies & both have NTFS Volumes
Problem:
One allows for Disk Quotas the other machine will not
show the "Quota" tab on the volume properties.
The travese checking does not make a difference as
indicated for similar problem with SP1/2.
Solution:
????????????????????
Any Ideas???????????

If disk quota tab is missing and it is not related to the Traverse Checking
right, then try running from a command/Run prompt: Regsvr32 dskquoui.dll.

The Class ID for dskquoui.dll is {7988B573-EC89-11cf-9C00-00AA00A14F56}.

If this does not work, are you able to manage Disk Quotas from the command
line? (Not a solution, just curious)

I checked both machines, CLSID is the same on both.
Command Line?? I know this can be done with 2003, but what
command is used in 2000AdvServer? Also just noticed that
the working quota machine is SP3 and the non-working quota
machine is SP4.

..dll version 5.0.2195.5305 on working machine
..dll version 5.0.2195.6601 on non-working machine

Thanks,
Nieman
