Disk Imaging Program questions - suggestions welcome

True image works fine with NTFS. Says so on their website and I have used it
before on ntfs drives.

I'm trying to decide on imaging software for disaster recovery.

Can True Image (http://www.acronis.com/products/trueimage/) restore an NTFS partition? Looking at
the screen shots in this review - http://www.pcabusers.com/reviews/acronis/trueimage6/p1.html

makes me think it can't. What about BootIt NG? Does it play well with NTFS?

Thanks,
Keith

I agree with Purplehaz. True Image is easy to use and is fast. It
also does well backing up and imaging from an external USB 2.0 drive.
Bootit Next Generation is the least expensive and provides the most
bang for your buck. However, it does have a somewhat steep learning
curve. But the plus for BING is the outstanding support provided by
the author.

Thanks.

It is fine with NTFS and has the major merit that as it needs only the
BIOS it needs no OS available to work through. I actually use its
sister program, Image for Windows, because it will backup from under
window (hence faster, using Windows disk drivers) and make CD (or DVD)
sets that can be booted directly for a restore operation. $27

Thanks Alex.
