Disk Error Installing Windows XP

G

Guest

I have a copy of Windows XP that succesfully installed once. However, due to
file corruption I had to reformat the disk and re-install. Now, whenever I
get to the point where the installation process finishes copying files from
the installation CD and reboots, I get a disk error.

Any ideas?

Press any key to restart

Perhaps the reason you got "file corruption" before is that your hard
drive is failing. Download a diagnostic utility from the hard drive
mftr.'s website. You will make a bootable cd or floppy with this file;
boot with the media and test thoroughly. If the hard drive fails any
physical tests, replace it.
