Disk Defragmenter Problem

I am getting the following error message when trying to
run Disk Defragmenter.
DfrgFat.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x77f580db" referenced memory
at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written". Click
on OK to terminate the program.

Appreciate any thoughts on how get around this.
