Disk Cleanup Tool Stopped Working

Disk cleanup has worked fine until this week. Nothing new
installed or changed in the OS or other programs. Only
normal updates being run for Virus software.

ALl security packages/patches loaded except for SP1 -
(I've heard too many ugly stories about SP1 screwing
things up)

Disk Cleanup appears to fire up, I pick a drive and it
goes away never to return.

I've delete everything permitted in the Windows\temp
folder and still no go.
