Disk Cleanup hangs

Hi,
I'm using win xp home and when I run disk cleanup on any
of my drives, the disk cleaup hangs when scanning the
drive. Please let me know how I can fix this.

I tried the solutions on that website, but it didn't
help. Infact, it made it worse. Now when I run disk
cleanup, I get the window to choose the drive, but when I
choose the drive, the window does not open up that scans
the drive. Does anyone else have any other solutions?

Okay, i've gotten it to work, but it now it doesn't try
to compress the files on the disk. I actually want my
computer to do this, so is there anyway that I can get
clean disk to work properly and find files to compress?

I believe that files will be compressed after they have
not been used for awhile. Windows XP does this on its own
I believe.
