N neil Feb 24, 2007 #3 If your file system is NTFS then you can use the command CHKNTFS at the command prompt. Type CHKNTFS /? for options. However there may be a good reason for the scan starting every time you start-up, could be a failing disk for example. By the way, turn off the caps lock when posting. Neil
