Hi! Since my PC hung once, it will always run scan disk everytime during
bootup eventhough there is no problem with the hard disk or system. How do I
configure Windows XP Pro with SP2 to stop disk check everytime during boot up?

Thanks a million!

Hi RajKohli, thanks for the tips. I delete the value "autocheck autochk *"
from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\Session
Manager\BootExecute:REG_MULTI_SZ: Win XP do not perform check disk during
bootup now, but not sure about the impact. Did I do right stuff or there is a
better way of solving it?

Thanks once again!

I think this is the right method. Sometimes Windows mark out a partition bad
either it is not and then on every boot up Windows scan the partition.
Deleting the BootExecute registry entry is safe and tell the Windows not to
run a scan on Boot Execution.

Hope this information helps you, let us know!
