Hi All,
When publishing amendments to an existng web, do the discussion group
messages left on the ISP end of the server get overwritten or deleted.
If so which is the best way to ensure that they remain there.
There are more messages on the Web than on FP98 on my XP SP2 computer.
Thanks in advance

Place the discussion web in a subweb (on both local PC and server) and never
publish the subweb from local to server. You should publish from server to
local to ensure backups (not sure if FP98 will allow that, but later
versions of FP will).

Without the subwebs, be very, very careful when FP asks to delete anything
on the server - it could be the extra posts in the discussion web.

If you *always* publish all files, (and never "changed files only") the
discussion web should survive.

Hi Ron,
Thank you, as you say FP98 is not good for subwebs, however I am evaluating
FP2003 when it arrives so it should not be a problem to do as you suggest.
