disassociate a file

I made a file association and want to delete the
association and get back to the original statement
OPEN WITH unknown application.
I am using Windows XP Home.
Any suggestions?

From the command line: assoc .ext=
where ext is the file extension you want to disassociate.
For help: assoc /?

Control Panel - Folder Options - File types page.

Look down for the extension concerned, highlight and Remove
