Disappointing return

I have returned to Outlook (XP/2002) from Thunderbird for several reasons.
It took me a long time and effort to import hundreds of saved emails and
addresses only to find that: a) I cannot see attached pictures without
opening them elsewhere, and b) I cannot save multiple attached pictures 'at
a stroke'.
I had forgotten that this was one of the reasons I had left in the first
place.
Are either of these attributes present in Outlook2007 or is there any
addons to do this?
 
Outlook 2007 has a an Attachment Previewer which also allows you to preview
pictures.

As for downloading multiple attachments at once use File-> Save
Attachments...
This option is there already in Outlook 2002.
