Disappearing Styles

I have a number of custom styles in the Global template (Word 2003). When i
open a word document from another user, my "all Styles" list doesn't have the
custom styles that i have created. Is there any reason this could be
happening? and is there a way to fix this from reoccuring?

What you are seeing is normal. A style added to a template will not
automatically appear in old documents even if the documents are based
on that template. See
