DISAPPEARING MESSAGES

all the messages in my inbox seem recently to have become marked unread. All
recent messages disappear totally if I have viewed them as soon as I change
folder view. They have not been moved to any other folder.

Go to View | Current View | Show all messages while in a folder.

If that is not the issue, then you need to check for 3rd party program
