Disappearing Email

I have a client who is using outlook and can send messages to anyone
else but himself.

The messages originate from an email address that is located on an
exchange box then sent to a SMTP server and picked up via POP3

I can see the messages on the SMTP server being received, delivered
and then the POP3 server letting him retrieve the message but it never
appears in is Inbox.

I've even tried having him send and then I check the same account
which works fine. From everything I can tell this is something
Outlook is doing is there anyone else with this problem?

It's really hard to say without any technical details. My guess is that it
is being picked up but that it is being marked as spam. Especially 3rd party
filters don't think you would send yourself messages and thus conclude it as
spam.

That's what I've been thinking. I'll see if I can remote access his
machine to see if that's the case.
