Disappearing Downloaded Messages

I am downloading messages into Outlook 2002 from my SBC Yahoo server. I can
see the messages at the Yahoo Mail Inbox level. However, when I go to Outlook
and press the Send/Receive Button nothing happens? My Inbox doesn't change .
The messages disappear from the Yahoo Inbox indicating they have been
downloaded somewhere, but they are not received into my Inbox?? What the
devil's happening??
I have only one Personal Folder.pst file and it's located at the default
location of Outlook C:\ Documents and Settings \ User Name \ Local settings \
Application Data \ Microsoft \ Outlook \ Personal Folder.pst. And that same
path is specified in my Outlook Program under File \ Data File Management \
Outlook Data Files \ Settings as my Mail Delivery and it's the only file
listed there. I am using Outlook 2002 on a Windows XP Professional system.
I can send messages to myself and they appear in the Sent Folder and at the
Yahoo Inbox but I can't download them into my Outlook program. They just
disappear from the Yahoo Inbox and go somewhere other than my Outlook Inbox??
Where, is the question and, why, and what can I do??
Can anyone give me a clue as to what's happening here. I'm about at the end
of my rope!
Any help at all will be appreciated.

I have discovered one other thing that happens with this problem. When I
press the Send / Receive Button the Inbox folder increases in it's count of
messages indicating that a message has been received. However, no message
appears in the Inbox view??

Ok lets make sure the view is set correct.
Click view->arrange by->Click current view now make sure you have a check on
messages.

That was my problem. Messages was not checked. Such a simple thing. However,
I'm not expert in the Outlook program!
Thanks for taking the time to answer and solve my dilemma.
Keep up the good work. I'm sure it's appreciated by others.
