Disappearing cursor, part 2

Part 1
While typing a message, in any windows program the curser will

mysteriously disappear. This can even happen while not typing. or in the
middle of a word.

The program I'm using will even turn pale blue on the top of the page,
like I've mouse clicked to some other program..

I've even closed programs I'm not using at the time, but this doesn't make
a difference.

To continue whatever I'm working on, I need to get the mouse pointer,
position it where I left off, and click the mouse to get the curser to
return. Then it will happen again, nothing I can figure out seems to be
causing this,

Part 2

Oaky, believing this is some form of malware, I downloaded Spyware Doctor,
and ran this program, but it didn't make any difference. I also ran Norton
Antivirus, and this didn't help either,

Any one else got a suggestion??

I have had my mouse do that. For (seemingly) no reason whatsoever, the mouse
pointer would steal focus from whatever I was working on,
A little vibration that moved the mouse and poof...I was typing anywhere but
in the form.
Try a different mouse?
