Disapearing network connections

C

chris hall

I am having problems with the win2k machines on my network.

for some reason they are losing their network connections
from within Network and Dial-up Connections.

Even the add new connection icon is missing.

Virus check runs clean.

have re-applied sp.

The only way around it so far is to re-install windows.

has anyone seen this before, if so how can i fix it.

regards Chris

Usually when something like this happens it's a virus, if
you have norton usually doen't pick it up, if you have
Mcafee sometimes it picks it up but it's very strange,
have you tried scanning your pc's with Panda AV, it's
very new and sometimes picks up viruses that Norton and
Mcafee don't so I would suggest that.

No. There is not nearly enough information to make any decisions. Please
be specific and do not assume we know which SP, RTAV client, brand, model
computer/NIC, any other software currently running, personal firewalls, IDS,
etc. Since we cannot see your screen, unless you provide it here, we assume
it doesn't exist. Please fill in the blanks.
