I

its gone

For the last week or so when I down load my e-mails they
show up in the inbox. as I read them some start to
disapear. I had 20 messages and after I open one and go
back to the inbox there are only 18 and so on until there
are none! they are not in the deleted items they are just
gone. Has anyone else had this problem? I need to find
where these e-mails went some were important.

I hope my answer, as basic as it is, isn't insulting...but
i have emails that were dropping into one of my personal
email folders automatically. I don't know how it was set
that way...but that's were they were going. Maybe you're
having the same problem? Best of luck. I"m having my own
issues and saw your email as I was scrolling for
help...hope it helps!

What is your View set to? You might have View, Current View, Unread
Messages selected which would not show messages you've read.

Debbie

In response to the party having problems with fading e-mails, I had that
problem not too long ago also. I had installed the SP2 wrong and evidently a
trojan horse got through, I had to unistall the SP 2, I downloaded Spyware
Sweeper from Webroot.com, found out that I had the trojan horse and adware
and spy ware. I removed them stabilazed my system, repaired Outlook and then
downloaded SP 2 from a cd I ordered from Microsoft. REMEBER, WHEN
INSTALLING THE SP2 PATCH WORK, ALWAYS DISABLE YOUR VIRUS PROTECTION AND ANY
FIREWALLS YOU HAVE. ONLY DO THIS WHEN YOU ARE INSTALLING IT FROM THE CD.
JUST ORDER IT ON LINE FROM MICROSOFT. This seemed to help me solve my
problem, it takes time and detective work. Just a little info that might
help you a little. Also remember to put back on your virus protection and
firewalls right after you finish downloading the SP 2 patch work.
