disapearing custom tool bar

Custom tool bar made containing controls for macros
disapears when opened by other users from shared drive.

Anyone know how to keep it functional for other users?

Hi JR:
Toolbars are contained in a log on file for each separate
computer or user. You say "shared drive". If that means
sharing a drive on a server from other standalones,
toolbars you created on your own station won't be
available to other users from other stations. Depending
on the version of Excel you are using (I have 97), the
log on file might be named either Excel(number).xls for
your personal station, and/or "yourname.xls" for a network
log on. If the shared drive you mention is only on one
workstation and others have their own logon identities,
the toolbars are contained only in the logon file for the
creator of the toolbar. In addition, what you create when
you are not logged on to a server, will not be available
to you when you are. They are separate files. Perhaps this
is the case with the later versions of Excel as well.
Maybe copying the macros for the other users & recreating
toolbars on their own stations may be the answer.
