disallowing of notification of certain words in text

Is there a way to disallow certain words to be included in the document or is
there a way to have these words appear highlighted so that they can become
apparent in the aid of editing.

Can you give an example of what you are trying to accomplish?

I could have worded it better
This is from an editors standpoint. There was an innapropriate word that
was accidentally typed in a document. This was by accident and was similar to
another word that was previously typed. Is there a way that word could be
programmed or is Word able to disallow this to happen either by not allowing
the word or drawing your attention to the inappropriate word.

You can have Word mark it as misspelled by including it in an exclusion
dictionary (see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/ExcludeWordFromDic.htm).
If this is Word 2007, post back, as that version handles the exclusion
dictionary a little differently.
