hello!

how could i disable the internal cd/dvd drive with BIOS??
help please!!!!!

i just dont know where to find and how to disable the cd drive in BIOS.
can you please tell me the steps?
thanks for your reply!

only way i know:
1) disconnect ribbon cable and power supply
or
2) find out which position (ie Master or Slave) on IDE controller (Primary
or Secondary) cd drive is, then in BIOS, enter no drive installed. Take
away/turnoff "AutoDetect" , for that drive. If Sec Master, turn off
"AutoDetect" feature. Not all BIOS the same. You'll have figure out some of
this yourself. I think I have Award BIOS.

Didn't work on mine!!

Diasble device by:
1) remove cables
2) disable in Device manger

Whatever your trying to do doesn't make any sense anyhow.

Have fun. BYE.

Why????
No logic at all
