After installing XP on a win2000 machine, I always get the
prompt which op sys I intend to start, 2000 or XP.

I've removed all 2000 files from the machine but still I
get the dual boot query, after the BIOS is loaded.

How do I get rid of the dual boot question and turn my
machine to a pure XP machine.

Greatful for an answer

You need to edit the Boot.ini file in your C: drive.

Remove the entries that refer to your old 2k installation , but make a copy
of the file before you do in case you cock things up.

Start - Run - MSConfig.exe

On the BOOT.INI page, click on 'Check All PAths'. It will find the one
for Win2000 is not valid and allow you to delete the entry
