disabling automatic launch

I just downloaded Windows Media Player and the thing
automatically launches when I turn on the computer. Can
anyone help me disable this annoying thing?

Hey man... Go to the start menu and click on RUN and then

type in MsConfig .... then go to startup ( at the top ) and
then uncheck windows media player
