How do enable the email function? The button shows, but appears to be
disabled.
Thanks for any help.

Without more details my guess would be that you are running Word 2007 but
not Outlook 2007. Or something to that effect.

Shame on me. Yes I'm running Word 2007. DUH!!

I'm using Windows Mail. The problem is with Word and Excel.

Like I aid, you need Outlook 2007 if you want to use that email option.

Are you sure? I don't think you can use another version of Outlook, but I
can certainly use Outlook Express (either to send the document in the body
of an email or to send as an attachment), so I would expect you could use
Windows Mail as well.

Windows Mail should work from Word - what won't work from Word is its
address book - see The "E-mail" command is missing or is unavailable in
Excel 2007, in PowerPoint 2007, or in Word 2007

Don't think it will work with OE but I'm not positive.

It absolutely does work with OE, as I said. I was asking whether it would
work with Windows Mail.
