Disable AutoCorrection features

We are allowing high school students to write diploma exams using Word 2007.
One of the requirements is to disable all “Auto Correct†features in the word
processor. To accomplish this we have downloaded and installed the office
2007 GPO’s and have enabled/disabled the appropriate sections.
We have also modified the office menu to remove the “Word Options†menu so
they cannot access the autocorrect options menu. However when you use the
spelling and grammar tool, the popup contains buttons for turning on the
AutoCorrect feature as well as an options button which opens up the Word
Options menu. Is there any way to disable these 2 buttons or to disable to
Word Options menu from being displayed? The students are allowed to use the
spelling and grammar checking functions of word so I can't just disable this
tool.

To tell the truth, I don't know how sensible or realistic this is. IMO,
students should be allowed to use whatever aids they would normally be using
in preparing documents. If all you're interested in is how much they know,
you should allow them to express it as correctly as possible.
