Disable the Address Bar Pull Down

Is there any way to disable the ability to click the inverted triangle (button) and drop the list of visited websites in Internet Explorer

I do not want to disable the Address Bar. I just want the ability to turn off clicking the inverted triangle and seeing that list of visited websites

I have found the RegKey to remove the URLs. I don't want to do that either

Thanks

You can clear those entries as well as the rest of IE History at each
startup with TweakUI (paranoia tab)
WinXP http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm scroll down to line 246
Windows 95,98,ME,NT,2000
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q237920

Otherwise, I think the only way to keep entries off of the TypedURLs list is
to use File> Open or Ctrl+o when typing in URLs.
