I am using windows xp sp2. I need a list of SERVICES that show which
ones can and cannot be disabled to make the OS run a little more
efficiently than it does stock.

So does such a list exist? Website perhaps?

I tried a google search and all I get are outdated or very poorly
designed sites targeted toward assembly programmers.

Thanks all,
Pedro

Son, that which you seek is akin to the Holy Graile. Back when I was a
young lad, there was a Black Viper site that provided a list of
suggested possabilities, but alas, the Black Viper is no more. Yeah,
though I have roamed and searched this wilderness for lo these many
years, I have yet to find a truly definitive list in the manner of
which you seek.

Trying to slim XP's autostart processes & services down makes one feel
kind of like your countryman, Don Quiote.
