Disable Mouse

I was wondering how to disable my touchpad. I go into the control panel and
do all that stuff and go to disable and apply.... and it doesn't work. The
mouse keeps working when its disabled. What can I do to fix this problem?
 
Touchpads are usually part of a laptop PC. Check in the laptop's BIOS for
info on how to "disable" it.
