Disable "modem on hold"

When I log on. start my computer, it says I have "modem on
hold" operative. I don't want my modem to be on hold.
How can I turn that off?

Are you running some sort of call waiting program? Check and see what
programs are starting with Windows by going to Start>Run and typing
"msconfig" without the quotes. Look on the Startup tab. Post back if
you need more help.
