Disable File Sharing & Enable Print Sharing

ElvisS

I have a 4 computers in a network, let's called them client A, B, C and
D. I want to disable file sharing on client D (WinXP SP2), so user on
Client D could not use or see shared files on other three computers
(clients A, B an C). But I want to allow usage of shared printer for
Client D (printer is installed and shared on Client A). Is it possible
to configure Windows XP Firewall like that, to allow print sharing and
deny file sharing?

You don't disable file sharing on the "client" computer in this case - it
would be disabled on the other ones. But that won't work if you want to
share printers, or if you want the other computers to share stuff with each
other (just not with the user at D)

You need file/print sharing enabled, if you want to share anything. If you
just want shared printers, don't share any folders, and make sure you're
using NTFS, good passwords/user accounts that aren't in the admin group.

You don't mention whether this is Home or Pro - this makes a difference.
